Guidelines and Terms & Conditions for Telangana Tourism Photo and Video Contest

1. Contest Overview

Purpose:
The Telangana Tourism Photo and Video Contest aims to promote the state’s cultural richness, natural beauty, and modern tourism attractions through high-quality visuals submitted by participants.

• Themes:

  • Nature

  • Wildlife

  • Culture

  • Heritage

  • Food

  • Adventure

• Organizers:
  Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC), under the Department of Tourism, Government of Telangana.

  
  

2. Copyright Responsibility

• Each entrant must be the sole creator and copyright owner of the submitted content.

• Participants must ensure they have read and agreed to all rules and regulations.

3.  Eligibility

• Open to all amateur and professional photographers/videographers.

• Not eligible: Employees of the Telangana Tourism Department, TGTDC, their immediate family members, or anyone involved in organizing/judging the contest.

• Participants under 18 years must submit written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

• No entry fee is required.

4. Submission Guidelines

Categories

• Photography: Based on the themes listed in Section 1

• Video: Short films/clips (max 2 minutes) showcasing the same themes

 Entry Limits

• Maximum: 4 photos and 2 videos per participant per theme

Format

• Photos: Full HD or higher

  • Filename format:
    SequenceNo_Theme_Location_AuthorName.jpg
    Example: 1_Heritage_Ramappa_YourName.jpg

• Videos: Full HD or higher

  • Filename format:
    SequenceNo_Theme_Location_AuthorName.mp4
    Example: 1_Wildlife_Kawal_YourName.mp4

Submission Method

• Upload files to Google Drive

• Email the drive link to 📩 photo@tgtdc.in with access permission

• Include:

  • Name

  • Contact Number

  • Email ID

  • Full Address

  • Entry Category

  • Theme

  • Location & Date taken

📌 Only email communication will be considered. Ensure all contact details are valid.

 Content Requirements

• Must be original, captured by the participant, and taken within Telangana

• Should highlight heritage sites, wildlife, festivals, or modern landmarks

• No watermarks, signatures, or camera timestamps

• Avoid:

  • Wildlife harassment

  • Unsafe behavior (e.g., boating without lifejackets)

  • Culturally inappropriate content

 Submission Deadline

• All entries must be received by 27th July 2025

• Organizers reserve the right to extend or shorten the deadline

5.  Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

• Participants retain copyright

• Telangana Tourism & TGTDC are granted a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use submissions for promotional use

• By submitting:

  • Participants confirm that their work does not violate any third-party rights

  • They accept legal responsibility for their content

🚫 Prohibited Content:

• AI-generated imagery

• Stock photos

• Digitally manipulated photos (e.g., adding/removing objects, photomontages)

✅ Allowed: Post-processing (light/color correction) that doesn’t distort authenticity

6.  Judging & Evaluation

• Judging Panel:
  Professionals from photography, tourism, and Telangana Tourism Department
  Judging will be anonymous and final.

Evaluation Criteria:

• Visual Impact, Creativity, and Originality

• Technical Quality: Composition, lighting, clarity

• Relevance to the theme and tourism appeal

🔍 Verification:
Participants may be asked to provide RAW files or original footage

7. 🏆 Prizes

📸 Photography Category

• 🥇 1st Prize – ₹5,000

• 🥈 2nd Prize – ₹3,000

• 🥉 3rd Prize – ₹2,000

🎬 Video Category

• 🥇 1st Prize – ₹10,000

• 🥈 2nd Prize – ₹5,000

• 🥉 3rd Prize – ₹3,000

✅ Selected entries may be showcased in:

• Exhibitions

• Tourism catalogues

• Official Telangana Tourism promotional materials

⚠️ Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
📩 Winners will be notified via email within 7 days after the contest closes.

8.  Privacy & Data Usage

• Personal information (e.g., name, contact number, email, address) will be used only for contest administration and prize distribution.

• Information will not be shared with third parties unless required for prize fulfillment or by legal obligation.

• By entering the contest, participants consent to the use of their names, images, and likenesses in:

  • Announcements

  • Promotional materials

  • Social media, exhibitions, or publications
    without any additional compensation.

9. Disqualification

• Entries will be disqualified if they:

  • Violate the contest rules or guidelines

  • Contain inappropriate, unsafe, or irrelevant content

  • Do not meet the technical or thematic requirements

• Telangana Tourism Department reserves the full right to reject any entry without providing a reason.
